    All sorted. No special tool required, other than a long 8mm bolt which screwed into the spindle and pulled the spindle out of the rocker. Grab the thin shim/washer as you lift the rocker out. :geek::geek:

    Hello, I want to take the cyl head off to check the valves etc. as the compression is low (80 ibs/sq.") But I don't have the special tool ST25117-4 to take the rocker spindle out. Has anyone taken the spindle out without this tool? OR where can I buy this tool from? Thanks in advance.

    Yes I can see and smell petrol on the plug. Others have said , elongating the fixing holes on the Pulsar coil may give some adjustment to retard the ignition timing. I am also going to check needle clip position in the carb ! As weak mixture can also create backfire.

    Ooops, forgot to hold the throttle wide open, pressure now reads about 110psi after 5-6 kicks. Still won't start , kicks back and loud noise through the carb.
