Anyone Tried Hagon Shocks from Hitchcock's?

Centre of gravity not so low on this bike (compared to my Honda Rebel) and you can lean into corners really well so I've not noticed any difference with these shocks. I've not adjusted them and don't feel the need to.

Anyone Tried Hagon Shocks from Hitchcock's?

I've fitted hagon shocks to lower the bike by 15mm. They work fine. Bit harder to pull the bike onto the centre stand though. I also fitted the low rider seat. Total reduction in seat height by 26mm. I only have a 27 inch in seam so thevlower the better. Still can't flat foot the bike though.

    Small Hands

Thanks for your replies. I finally got time to do the job. Did Eatmore Mudd's way by drilling another hole. Worked a treat!

    Small Hands

Anyone recommend clutch/brake levers with a shorter reach? Also, I fitted the low rider saddle and Hagon rear shocks, all in all reduced the bike seat height by 26mm. Downside to this is that the levers cannot be rotated up slightly to compensate for this. Some notch prevent this from being...

    First Service 2021Meteor 350

Wish there was a trick to reduce the annoying fuel warning flashing. Think I did a hundred miles from that point before I refilled! Guess in India, fuel stations are more infrequent? I'd be happy if the warning came when you had about 30 miles left.

    Is the Meteor economical?

Wrong forum? You need need new glasses mate. Sorry bout your mate. Each to their own. I love the Rebel. Ran the Demo for 30 miles before I decided to buy one. SHOW SOME CONFIDEDENCE! Wonder if you'll be saying that the wheels fall off. I supose you ride without insurance. Using upper case...

    Tyre Pressures

So the USA gets different tyres than the UK. Interesting

    Is the Meteor economical?

I can compare costs with my other bike - a Honda Rebel. Riders who may be economically stretched would obviously be drawn to the very low price of the Meteor. However I will list here my thoughts and considering that they have no experience for mechanically caring for there bike and in the UK...

    Tyre Pressures

Just wonder if riding two up is safe? Tyre pressures stated in the manual are 32F/32R PSI Solo and 32F/36R for two up. Tyres supplied with my bike give maximum pressures as 33PSI cold. Any tboughts, people?

    Oil Leak

Been back to the dealer's. Although the workshop guy couldn't understand why this had happened, he had to use the original 'O' ring after refilling with new oil. I drove the 50 miles home and left the bike overnight. This morning there was no oil spot on the ground and the plug was dry. Good...

    Oil Leak

Don't quite understand your point. Are you blaming the dealership service dept? The dealer in question has been a RE dealership with a very long history. I too have a Honda Rebel and decided to keep it. I have a very short inseam which I can 'flat-foot, so the Rebel is great for town riding and...

    Oil Leak

My new Meteor Fireball had its first service last Friday (10th Sept). 100 mile round trip to the dealer. Time I got home there was 400miles on the clock.. Did a 50 mile trip yesterday (15th). Noticed today (16th) a small oil patch on my garage floor. On inspection, the drain plug had a drop of...

    First Service 2021Meteor 350

I hear you, SamC. We are basically on the same page. Dunno if you have owned a Honda but their engines have a enviable reputation. As the biggest bike manufacturer in the world their resouces are phenominal. Trying to do a tappet job on this liquid cooled bike would be a nightmare. But having...

    First Service 2021Meteor 350

My bike goes in next friday for the 300 miles. It's a 110mile round trip for me (hoping that the UK weather stays fine). I would do my own service except for the tappets. My Honda Rebel has done 5000miles in its first year and no tappet sound from that. In the UK, unlike in the US, your warranty...

    First Service 2021Meteor 350

Seems a lot of work just to avoid paying £161 ($200?). I know in the states that you can do this without making the warranty void. Here in the UK have no such luxury. I think the price of the first service is quite high ( cost me £140 last year for my Honda Rebel) thought that was high also. Do...

Hi People! 1st RE owner and...

Upgraded my phone to os8. Still says that the app is unsuitable for my device! Sorry guys but Royal Enfield support lied to me. Saw a friend yesterday. He has a Samsung Galaxy with os11. He couldn't get the app either!

Hi People! 1st RE owner and...

Found out, finally! That my phone os is 7 and the app need version 8. Checked online. Apparently version 8 was released in 2017. It is suitable for my phone but my phone says I have the latest (os7) so cannot download it. Google say they are slowly rolling out this os. Three years though! Guess...

Hi People! 1st RE owner and...

It's a Galaxy S7 Edge. Guess it may be 5 years old? Perfectly good phone. Not going to buy a new phone after just 5 years, just so I can make tbe tripper work. I'm old enough to remember when phones were just phones and I hate the 'throw away' society that we now find ourselves in. At the end of...

Thanks for the welcome, guys. I remember the saying that "it's more fun making a slow bike go fast, than making a fast bike go slow"
