    Redverz Tents

I don’t have one but a couple friends do, we were discussing it just last weekend. And yes it is a bit large but that’s good for two people. They like being able to stand up inside to dress. They don’t store their bikes in the “garage” area, instead it’s a sheltered area to sit out of lousy...

Stock Seat Pan Vs Touring Seat Pan?

Does anyone know if the RE "touring" seat uses the same seat pan as the stock seat? I am *not* asking about the seat padding and contour, I know these are different. TBH I don't think that RE would use a separate seat pan for each seat. Background: Back in February I sent my stock seat to Seat...

New Calsci Touring windshield for Himalayan

Might as well work on down the line, medium next. I’m also interested in the shorty. The CalSci web page doesn’t say AFAIK what size screen is on the display bike. Any idea which screen that one is?

What size is this screen? (Unless I missed that part.)

    Soft panniers

It's not easy to see from those photos, but that RH bag looks uncomfortably close to the muffler. Is there adequate clearance?

    Tried a 2021 Himalayan yesterday

Who knows, by springtime you might be able to test ride both the touring seat and a Seat Concepts..... Hope you get the bike before our crap weather kicks in and are able to put a few break-in miles on it.

    Tried a 2021 Himalayan yesterday

I see you're in SE Wisconsin, I'm in Madison. You're welcome to borrow my touring seat for a day or two to see if you like it. Frankly I don't find it much of an improvement over the stock seat. I plan to go with the Seat Concepts over the winter.

    Helmet noise

This. My anecdote comes from 25 years past. Member of our club rode a Goldwing and used a 3/4 helmet. On the way to work one morning he had to cross a wooden bridge, the bridge was a bit wet with early morning dew. He went down hard. It took several reconstructive surgeries using one of his...

Bike starts and runs but stalls when placed in gear

In the words of the ancient philosphical oracle society The Firesign Theater: We're All Bozos On This Bus. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Think_We%27re_All_Bozos_on_This_Bus And yes, I used to have the mystical platter from which the oracle proclaimed it's wisdom. And AHEM, has the OP solved...

    FRONT SPROCKET LOOSE

I’m curious, are these tab washers considered single-use items that you “should” replace along with the sprocket? Most of my bikes have been shaft-drive. IIRC years ago when I had my KLR apart for a doohickey replacement I reused the tab washer.

    HimmaShortStand now available!

IMO the quality is great, it’s worth the price to me (esp. after I get the core return refund) ;). It was a good idea to add the larger foot to the side stand. If you have the tools & skill to fab up a shorter stand, which I don’t, you don’t need this side stand. If you’re looking for an easy...

    HimmaShortStand now available!

Another successful install. The only "difficult" part is getting that bloody sidestand bolt aligned up with the holes or is it getting the holes aligned with the bolt?. Perseverance and a couple choice words persuaded everything to align up... Off to find a mailing envelope to return the stock...
