classic 350 vs himmy 411 help, my poor heart!

I have the Classic and love it. Capable of keeping 100km/h wen needed and easy on gravel. You’re a bit contradictory saying « I haven't seen accounts yet of people putting knobbies on them and bumping down the rough roads, » and then « i did find some vid's from scotland of a guy with knobbies...

    I need some Italian help

Sorry, didn’t see that before. I’m not in Italy but bought a bike on Subito for years. I think I could register with my Swiss number but remember it was not so easy. Perhaps not giving in the « + » or my country number. Did you find a solution?

A few questions about the new Classic 350s

I had the speedo issue the day day I took the bike out of the dealer. After colding and 2-3 re-start , all was back to normal. Till the next hot days. Than I did the cleaning of the contacts and the trouble only came once in the whole summer. 2-3 re-start and all was good.

A few questions about the new Classic 350s

Difficult to believe that all the speedo were faulty. I think more about the contacts and that grease RE put everywhere: contacts, relay etc…and that causes a lot of issue.

What have you done to your Classic today

How many miles did you have on it? At the beginning I was looking for changing mines too. I’m quite light with 63kg. But now, at 8000km shocks have broke in an with the Touring seat, the comfort can be qualified to good.

    Hitchcock's top 10 mods

???? Mirrors can be adjusted. Can’t understand why complaining about mirrors. I have the stock ones on my RE and they’re fine. Same on my scooter, took me a bit time to find the good position but now all is ok. Sometimes just adjusting at the mirror is not enough, you have to adjust the bar but...

    Hitchcock's top 10 mods

Don’t like bar end mirrors to and can’t understand what people find good in them. Fuel x, air filter and decat pipe, a lot have tried and many went back to stock. For me this is just an advertising of what they are selling. But, the plus is that you can see the accessories mounted on the bike...

New rider with Classic 350 questions

Agree. Just want to add about the sticky speedo. I’ve had this issue too. On the first day I picked up the bike. It was hot and I let the bike in the sun. Then again several times every one month or so, when hot. Then I cleaned the contacts like Warro explained in his video. That was late june...

You might want to have your motorcycle valve clearance done sooner rather than later, like I did, at 12000 kilometers:

Yes yes, but I know they are US gallons and Imperials, and miles on the road and nautics, right? So it all depend at whom you’re talking. Forum is international. Kilometers and liters are everywhere the same, it’s easier.

You might want to have your motorcycle valve clearance done sooner rather than later, like I did, at 12000 kilometers:

Was the case for me too. And my mileage is under 2,4l/100km. I let you convert in your miles per gallon.

    Alps

You did a nice tour, making the more known passes. I’ve ridden quite all of them and some others more. But now, with the web, social media and so, I find the traffic too buzzy on those roads and « too speedy ». So now I’m rather looking for small lost roads, very narrow passes and so on. For...

Is there luggage rack to classic 350 without pillion seat?

I use the Enfield bags without any rack and it works perfect. See Here

But that’ But that’s for the Meteor. The Classic has a “frame” over the shocks, you don’t need that. And without bags it looks ugly.
