    Classic 500 Riders Downunder?

Correction to that post about my husbands ‘Nelson Rig’. He has just said that it has holes in I on the hard edges after just one 4 week trip away. So no, can’t give it a positive review

    Classic 500 Riders Downunder?

speaking of sprockets…I just got my Classic back after 4 weeks in the shop getting a new DID chain and sprockets fitted. Yes, you read correctly. Not getting a new engine put in, just chain and sprockets. Short story- 4 weeks ago when I initially picked it up I rode home and the bike vibrated so...

    Classic 500 Riders Downunder?

They are a bit Big! I lane split so they wouldn’t suit me. My husband has one though he has it strapped behind the seat on the rack. It’s very roomy and he loves it. we both have racks and standard canvas bags that we bought online from India. Dirt cheap.

    Classic 500 Riders Downunder?

N No husband did not put in a warranty. He got spokes from Motociclo in Sydney and they were wrong. Went back got more they were wrong. A fellow in Cessnock ended up making some himself. I mean really, how hard can it be😂Interesting about the sprockets 17 or 18. I don’t know, but I’m (mechanic)...

    Classic 500 Riders Downunder?

I’ve been thinking of a 19 front sprocket. I heard that it‘s a bit of a hassle (unless you know what you’re doing) to tuning the bike after change over? Hubbies bike is a Stealth. Yes little typo. Same bike as ours except all Matt black.

    Classic 500 Riders Downunder?

Hi there. You must be down Gosford way. We just bought a Bullet Electra X 2017 for a restoration project. it too has decompression lever but I reckon I’ll probably break my chin trying to kick it over😂 I’m loving my 500 with its new (Hitchcock) pipe. its about 5 kg lighter than stock. That as...

Him Hi Oz. Nice to finally get a reply from someone that’s been out Wollombi way. If you haven’t already, continue through Wollombi and head up through Bishops Bridge, Lorn to Dungog. All those back roads in good nic and some nice scenery going back down through Lambs Valley into Branxton. You...

    Where’s the Good Gear?

Eat more Mudd mentioned to visit Hitchcocks but I think I misunderstood and thought there must be a retail store too😬

    Where’s the Good Gear?

Defin Definitely off to Sammy Miller Museum. Thanks heaps for the suggestion. I’m afraid I’m unable to find a ‘physical’ store for Hitchcocks in Redditch. Only online (which I do buy from). Is there a Hitchcocks store anywhere in the UK other than on-line?

    Where’s the Good Gear?

The Sammy Miller Museum looks like a must see. Only a couple of hours in the train from London. On my way to Cornwall! I’ve just returned from visiting a few amazing Royal Enfield private collections in Tasmania. I love talking to these guys, so interesting, humble and willing to share so much...

    Where’s the Good Gear?

Thanks Roy. I’ve done a UK ride before (so yes, cold and wet!) this however is a canal boating trip😏 just thought while I was over there I’d check some places out. Last time I was in the Netherlands they had a fair bit of variety for women unlike in OZ. It’s still predominately a man’s game so...

    Where’s the Good Gear?

Here in Oz we don’t have a lot of variety in riding gear, gadgets, and ‘stuff’, and as I’m heading to the UK in a few months I thought I might see if there are any really cool bike gear shops In the UK? Must be something around London surely? Any clues?

    EUSSR to ban chrome plating

G thats correct , there is NO ban on chrome, it is purely about changing the occupational standards for the workers in the industry. There’s a lot of conspiracies such as this on the net at the moment. Just because you read it doesn’t make it true. We all need to do our own homework.
