No. I twist about an inch of each. I find even expensive spices can loosen. The Fuel-X wire is aluminum.

Do you think splicing the Fuel-X direct to the harness caused issues? I use adhesive shrink tubing.

If the gauges sweep, the key switch is good? Never used the kill switch. I think a new harness is in order. I wouldn't have thought direct wiring things together would be an issue, more of a cure.

Cranking without the plug wires on the plugs, harm?

Anything that would lose the plastic piece to computer mounts to. All one piece.
