Would like to see some pics from your Poland expedition too!After a long trip to Poland with the Kawa SX it was time the Himi got some attention again. Cleaned the bike yesterday and went riding for a couple of hours today in the eastern part of the Netherlands (Achterhoek); a lovely region with many small roads!

Thanks for your interest! I don't mind sharing them, but my pictures of Poland would only be interesting if you like the castles of the medieval German Order and the cathedrals they built there. I'm not sure if this thread or forum would be the right place for these pictures. There are no Enfields to be seen on them, not even my own Kawasaki.

Yesterday on Dugway Road (or, if you believe the sign at the other end, Doug Way) in Wisconsin:
Of course I am misrepresenting myself with this picture, as I rode maybe fifteen miles of unpaved stuff in a 330-mile day yesterday. But the Himalayan is a fine paved-road bike as well, so it's all good. And Wisconsin's "Driftless Area" does have some fine paved roads...

RE South Wales Branch Rally near Usk. Fantastic weekend, cracking 100 mile ride outs each day and superb friendly Enfield fans to share it all with.
Final photo of some of our South Midlands Branch at the site of the original Royal Enfield factory. The guy to the right of the plaque as you look at it is Merv Panting. He worked at Enfield and is an active rider with our group and the Vintage Club. 86 years young!

...Yes, a mighty big windscreen. A WRS with a big naca duct? I'm not finding it on the WRS site. Is this for another bike that you modified? Triumph Tiger Screen?

It's a shield for a Triumph Tiger 1200. The mounting is also from the Tiger allowing the up and down adjustment. Two of the holes matched up for that bracket and there was a place to drill two more into the mount my Son had placed on the Himi for another Madstad shield he had mounted on it when he owned it.
I haven't ridden in the rain yet, but it works great and allows enough air to pass under my arms to allow the vents on my Aerostitch suit to work pretty good. Not sure what it will be like in the cold. I do prefer to ride in cooler temps.

How was the BDR-X? What tires did you use?
The International Norton Owner's Rally is going to be held in Sturgis in the middle of June next year. I'm thinking I might throw the Norton and my 450 on the trailer and do the BDR-X while i am there. Watching videos it looks to be a good one.
I did the MABDR on my Tenere 700 a couple years ago and have done portions of the SEBDR.
