@Woodstock i like going north on NY22 out of New Lebanon to 43 east in Stephentown, and into Williamstown MA. It runs between the hills and is gorgeous this time of year.
Okay, scrub Lee. I'll do 20 from New Lebanon to Pittsfield then 8 to North Adams, take 2 to 43 and back to Stephentown. I have often gone over that 43 intersection on 22 and seen where it comes out at 7 but never, ever thought to take it. Will do now. It has to be good.

I am thinking in future years, after looking at the map, I will take 43 to 7 or even Williamstown and then back over 2 to 22 and vice versa. I am always telling people to take 2 whether to Troy or just to Petersburgh. I love the Taconic Pass. I am thinking @brimmergj and @wspollack will agree with me. I recommend it to you as well. Ride it both ways. It's one of the reasons I go to Pownal, VT so often.

I go to the Clark once a summer. My $20 buys me culture and access to their outdoor grill which is stunning on a hot day. The car park and ticket people always think it's a trip when I arrive on a motorcycle so I am guessing they don't see many.

It may be hard to co-ordinate but if you are out tomorrow in western Mass, give me a heads up today. Even if we meet for coffee at a gas station for 10. Lunch is possible if we time it.

As it turns out, I'm meeting a fellow C 400 GT rider (from the Springfield area) tomorrow (10/23) for lunch in Lee (at a place called 51 Park).

@Woodstock can’t tomorrow, doctor appointment at noon in Hartford … sheesh … I did go out today for a short toot, testing out my new AEW TE102 cans.

I often use 41 north from CT to US20 W just west of Pittsfield to 22 in New Lebanon.
220 miles. I did 43 from 2 to 22. Nice run. I will ride the other way next time. I still recommend 2 both ways even if you only do the half from Petersburgh to 7. Don't worry about getting out of third. Seriously, just let it climb. I'm bummed I did not realize I could ride up Mt Greylock. It closes Nov 1 to June so that may pass this year but so close and should have done it.

To amplify what @Woodstock said, and if anyone's curious, here are two videos I made earlier this year on my Meteor 350 on Route 2, as it transitions between NY and MA, i.e., Petersburgs Pass. Both are about 10 minutes, and set the resolution Quality, via the "gear," to whatever YouTube will work for your particular connection. As @Woodstock says, I mostly just left the M350 in third gear (although there are a just a couple of times that I used fourth).

NY to MA, in May:

MA to NY, in September:

I have some more of those on some other bikes, as it's one of my favorite areas.

I went out for 55 miles this afternoon on my Interceptor in southern New Hampshire. Lots of twisty back roads and not too much traffic made for a nice ride. Temps were comfortable in jeans and mesh jacket.
The new 21" front wheel rides so smoothly, I can't believe I waited so long to bolt it on, it works so well!
(I did notice a 21" BT46 is available) ;)215092151121512
