After 1 year with no ride, and saved a bit of money: is possible to install ABS on a BS4 model? I think is the only thing I miss (and I feel a bit of fear after near one-pandemic-year without ride out) . Did anyone try to upgrade it? does it worth?

Not sure what you are asking. A BS4 already has ABS.

Are you referring to the first US EFI model ?
The US was the only country I am aware of that got the EFI model without ABS.

In Mexico, BS4 has no ABS (mine is carburated) :-/ , all that arrives here with ABS are FI.

It would probably be easier to sell and buy one with ABS. Probably cost the same with no challenge to overcome. Plenty of people who don't want ABS.

Mine doesn't have it and never wished I did.

Well, dont want to start a "flame war", but from another forum:(Pag 46 there)
B3: Carb'd
BS3.5: Second run much improved bike. Aussie BS4, all the improvements of a BS4 but with a carby.
BS4: EFI
Euro 4: BS4 with ABS

Mexican BS4 is like an assuie bs4

I´ll think maybe in sell it and get a new one abs version for pavel, just thinking if the upgrade could cost under 400USD, it could be a good invest.

Thanks!

Ditto. I was jazzed to find a 2019 with less than 1500 miles because I dreaded getting the ABS model.

I'm not sure I'd go to any trouble to fit ABS. Mind you, I had a choice between a carby bike with no ABS (and we were calling them BS4s here in Oz at the time) and an EFI bike with ABS. Well, I didn't want EFT and I don't really care too much about ABS, so I got the carby version.

If you're relying on ABS, maybe you need to practice your braking. Having said that, we don't get ice on the roads here and that might change my opinion.

Thanks to all for your comments: I know on unpaved roads ABS is dangerous. I chose Hima for it engine reability , and here in Mexico, backroads are like India ( I think). Yesterday, again talking with a friend: "If you are not going to do off-road, think in change the bike". So, maybe as you say, its worth change on invest trying to fit it

Anyway, I think at least I´ll have front of me 1 year enjoying the Hima :)

I'm not sure I agree with your friend. The Himalayan is one of the most versatile of all the bikes out there. About the only place it struggles is highway travel and even there it'll hold 100km/hr all day. Mine certainly is asked to do everything (including commuting every day) and offers me the flexibility to turn down any road or track that takes my fancy.
