I just picked up this bike and noticed the ambient temp was flashing on the dash. Inspection of the bike showed the sensor is missing from under the rear mud flap. No idea why it's not there, but I'm having a heck of a time finding this part online. I'm in Atlanta GA and not finding any local suppliers. Would love a recommendation.

Thanks!

You may know this already, but on latest bike it’s hidden between the two layers that form the rear mudguard assembly.

The sensor is a Thermistor that can be purchased from an Electronic supplier.

Does the wire for it run under the mud flap? Or do you need the wiring to go from under the seat back there?

I didn't realize '22 didn't need to have it relocated, and got a wiring extension kit from Hitchcock's. Now I have that part on my shelf of shame with no use.

I'm grateful to know we all have shelves of shame. I try to be positive when I buy something I did not actually need, but inertia prevents me from returning, and think of it as keeping the economy moving. But it is incredibly wasteful, and it will just be turfed at some point when no one knows what it all is.
