BAAK Interceptor

I was at the Bike Shed on Saturday, chatting with the owner of this Quebec plated Interceptor.

Parked in front of it was a BAAK custom Interceptor. Whatcha all think about this one?

I'm not really digging the large, shrouded side panels, but it is very unique.

Definitely gives it an old school euro look.

I usually like this sort of thing, but I think I'd have to walk around the bike a few times taking in all the angles before making a judgement.

Looks like the sort of thing I'd do (only better done) so it's hard to hate on it even though I'd have done several things very differently if I was building it.

All of that work and it still has a stock seat.

Oh yeah... didn't notice the seat at first. Surprised they didn't at least put a neat cover on it.

It's obvious. The side panels help with speed wobble when you break the sound barrier.

Stopped by again to grab a coffee for the commute home and took a closer look at it. I think Baak must have a partnership with Bike Shed, as they typically have a bike featuring their modifications on display. Usually a Triumph.

That seat is actually a custom “slammer” type, thinner than stock, in a very dark brown leather.
