Brake light issue

I've just bought my 2015 535 with only 1500 miles on it.
Having trailered it home I've gone to it this morning and the brake light is permanently on, but only when the lights are switched on so both filaments are permanently lit.
I've disconnected both switches and the problem persists.
I'm guessing its a short between the two feeds but I'm thinking its got to be after both running light and brake light feeds come together.
Any thoughts or similar problems?

Before doing anything else, try replacing the bulb. Two-filament bulbs have a failure mode in which the filaments short together, causing both to glow brightly until they burn out. The next thing to look for would be a short in the brake light circuit.

Eventually turned out to be the rear tyre rubbing on the wiring and causing a short. The couple who sold it to me had gone for a last ride and with the shocks wound right off there wasn’t enough distance between the tyre and the mudguard. Anyway all sorted now. Thanks for the input
