Buy or not?

The reason Governments get away with this nonsense is because people are lethargic (That's another debate) and cant be bothered to resist. Unless the people have a revolution we are doomed. All it takes for evil to exist is for good men to do nothing.
If people have enough food and entertainment, they remain complacent. The news media media is deceptive, and politicians get away with murder while they divide the population with inflammatory half truths. Keep the people bickering over minutiae as they legislate them into slaves of the state.

I bought a buick once that when I got it home and changed the oil, the filter element was completely missing in the can. It took about a week for the car to become a gigantic fog machine that smelled like oil.

It blows my mind how people who live in the same world, on the same continent, in the same country, or in the same town can see things so differently.
It’s as if I see the sky as green and my neighbor sees it as yellow, even though we’re both looking at the sky at the same time and from the same spot.
Worst of all, we both believe that our version is the absolute truth, and we’re getting closer and closer to wanting to kill anyone who doesn’t share it.
We won’t need a meteorite or a virus—we’re going to kill each other all over again...
Probably too much free time. We’d all be better off spending that time riding motorcycles instead of overthinking things.

Managed to get 2 x 2.5ltr of Mobil Supermoto 15w50 fully synthetic today, opened the cupboard and realised I have 1 can of 2.5 ltr Supermoto and a part can with about 1/2 litre....so now have enough for 4 changes ( 2 per bike)👍

Lucky you. It took "Q" a bunch of money and months of design and work to achieve this on James Bond's car. ;)

Today I have mounted a center stand on the Scram, what a shitty job with the springs...
But finally its done, she can stand upright now, I can check the oil level properly and
i´m now shure, that she can not falling on the side.
In my youth i have had a Honda CBX 1000 Pro Link, she has only have had a side stand.
If the sun was burning very hot, the side stand sinks in the asphalt and the bike was falling on the left side.
She was a big lady with nearly 300 Kg. It was really hard to get the bike back on his wheels.
Since that days i´m affraid of side stands :sneaky:

Let me know if you hit it in the deep twisties. I hit mine all the time. Keep an eye on that little plate that stops it in the "up" position. When I'd nail mine in the twisties, it would bend that stop plate up and soon, the center stand was dragging on the chain. I've had to bend the stop plate back down multiple times now.

Beautiful, that was the first thing I did after buying the Scram (white flame).

Yeah, i assumed this as soon as i have seen it mounted. But to be honest, in my age i drive deep twisties a bit slower as in my youth. So i hope, that will not be a problem. But thank you very much for your warning. (y)
Other than that little setback, I love it. It makes maintenance a snap. Then I put on the lowering link and I dang near give myself a hernia getting it on the stand. Now when I use the stand, I roll the rear tire up on a 2x4 first.

I drove for two hours today, and with my driving style, touching down in tight corners is no problem. Unfortunately, I found that my butt falls asleep on the bench after about an hour. I guess I'll have to get another bench seat... :sneaky:

I did the Himilayan (two piece) touring seat. Barco-lounger it's not but it's better.

So, after reading for days now, writing with eBay sellers of so-called "touring" benches, another 130 km trip to rule out the possibility that I was being too whiny,
I called the local Godfather of seatbuilding Niklas Lange and made an appointment on August 5th. This won't be a bargain, but it seems to me there is no alternative. With the current seating furniture, a maximum of 20 to 30 km are painfree possible. The consistent statements on the net are that the benches offered from India bring only marginal improvements, if any, but cost between 150 and 200 € which would then be burned. If Niklas Lange gets this under control (which I assume), I'll gladly pay more and then have something sensible. Funnily enough, he also has a scram the day before, so I'm not alone...

As i had write before, i´m have had looking for the original Adventure Panniers and, of course, the carriers.
The local dealers are imho a little bit greedy. They want in average 620 € for the panniers and 180 € for the
carriers. This is together 800 €, thats really close to the niveau of BMW. Normaly i´m one of the people who supports the local-dealers, if possible, but all things have borders.

So i have search a few days on ebay. There they offers these sets between 560 - 650 € include shipping.
Because i was not shure to buy black or silver panniers i saved a few offers to my watchlist.
As i looked yesterday at my watchlist, a message from a seller pop of that he will give 5% discount if i buy within
three days. As i think it over and decided zu buy this set in black, another offer from the same seller pop of for the set in black
with additional inner bags. I thougt, ok, go now, put this set in my basket. On the way to pay a further message comes up with
a coupon for another 10% discount. I immediately pressed "pay now", before they think it over. :giggle:

The set comes from india, so it takes a few weeks till it arrives.
I have payed now for the pannier boxes in black, the carriers in black and the inner bags 483 € ,
317 € less then i had to pay by the local-dealer without the inner bags.

I think, i have made a good deal. :whistle::coffee:
