Hello again everyone!

So, a bit of a backstory first.

I got rid of my meteor this past summer when I started having pain from my pre-existing cervical herniated disc and having already had a previous fusion surgery I wasn't that eager to go for a second one. That, coupled with my want for more power, of course.

Fast forward a few months and here I am, possibly having to undergo a second surgery anyway but still having the, incurable it would seem itch to get a new bike... It would seem that the car isn't that much better for your spine!

Regardless of the surgery situation but still with my spine problems in mind, I'm trying to choose my next bike and here's where I would appreciate your input.

These past months I've been missing my 350 terribly, warts (lack of speed) and all and until recently, I'd decided that the bullet would probably be the way to go. However...

Firstly, I'd really appreciate your input on whether the classic or the bullet would be more comfortable for both rider and pillion. After a few test rides I thought the bullet was the way to go but I didn't have the chance to have my SO as pillion.

We're both a little... "fluffy", by the way.

Apart from that, I also had a ride on the 450 himmy. I wasn't that blown away as I'm not too fond of the style but the suspension on that thing is just so good, especially for my situation and it is more powerful too, which is always a good thing.
Still, it is more expensive as well and I'm not 100% sure I can actually swing it...

And even if I can, it was a bit more of a pain to manhandle as well. It might be pretty much the same weight as the 350's but I found it carries it's weight much higher and while at 5'10 I didn't have an issue flatfooting it, it did seem noticeably more unwieldy than the 350 choices and I certainly want something I can manage that won't aggravate my issues further.

On another note, Honda threw another spanner in the works with the GB350s. While I don't find it as pretty as the Enfield's, it seems to be a bit faster, it's got a better clutch, surely better resale value and it is a MIJ Honda. Plus my SO does like it more and she's going to be riding as well...
I still haven't had the chance to get a test ride of that so if anyone has, I'd greatly appreciate the info.

So yes, this is my conundrum and I'd love your opinions! Many thanks in advance!

Cheers!

Gzrfox, I sympathize, having lumbar vertebrae and disk damage. I have good luck with my Classic 350 by sitting upright as possible, sort of pooching my big belly forward to square up my spine and hips. The middle footpeg location on the classic lets me stand up going over bumps, zero shock to the spine. Just taking weight off the butt helps, but nothing like getting clear up off the saddle. Cruiser pegs and racey rearsets pretty much forbid it. Don't know how this might apply to cervical trouble, but it makes my bike easier than my car.

Yes the Honda is a great bike. However, don't forget the new 2025 RE Meteor has many improvements. In particular the motor is more powerful. It gets an extra 3hp & an increase in torque. The gearbox is now even smoother etc etc. So it could still be the bike you want! The Honda is less powerful.

How is the new meteor (or any other 350) any different? First time I'm hearing of this. Got any links?

Thank you

Just been looking for the video that gives us all the improvements for 2025. Can't see it. But plenty that say the power output is still 20.2hp. So not too sure now.

Seems weird to me, only changes I know of in 2025 are the led lights and the gear indicator on the classic and that's about it. The bullet seems to have been exempt of these changes, for some reason. If anything, they've even discontinued most colour options over here.

If you like Himalayan 450 suspension why not consider the lighter, cheaper, more stylish Guerrilla which I understand is available In Greece. Given your situation I doubt you would miss the off road capabilities of the Himalayan anyway.

Well first off, I already got the Himmie!

But apart from that, the suspension on the Guerilla wasn't and didn't feel exactly the same, the riding position was a bit more aggressive for my taste and the small tank was the biggest dealbreaker for me.
