Does that mean that the replacement failed after 3200 miles? If so that must of been depressing. I hope that didn't strand you. The more I read, the more I'm thinking a motorcycle shop manual wouldn't be a bad purchase when picking up a bike.

When ever I go for a trip I always carry full spare set of cables. In the old days when RE was imported to the US privately the bike came new with a spare set of cables and a tube. But then their was only the Bullet with 19” wheels front and back.

Exactly the same in Australia, 1 throttle cable, 1 clutch cable, 1 tube, and in addition to small tool kit, also a small first aid kit, and user manual.
Oh it also came with a printed full workshop manual.
