I've a 2020 with 42k miles. I decided to replace the clutch springs and plates. The metal plates showed some random discoloration. The friction plates still looked good - I did not measure their thickness. I had the parts; so replaced the lot though I think they could easily have gone another 10k miles.

No point in waiting on them to fail, they are cheap enough.
Clutch life is what you make it, some have trashed them in 500 miles.
The clutch in my BMW R80G/SPD was still well in spec at 480,000 km when I replaced the rear seal so it went back in.
Doubt if either me or the Hima will make it out that far!

The new enfeild engine tolerances are supposed to be so much better than they used to. Fortnine did a test on all the major motorcycle brands testing the first service oil in a lab to determine who had the better tolerance and the new enfeilds scored better than all the major brands! So hey hopefully it wasn't just a one off and the new motors will last the test of time.
