I ordered from RR and it got to CA from India via FedEx in a few days. Maybe he’s on the forum, but so far a really fantastic experience! I’m still waiting on my actual bike to get here from NV, and that’s taken two months already…granted it weighs 400lbs more

I have ordered a few things from Royal Rider on eBay over the last few months and so far the experience has not been great. I ordered a pair of military style pannier frames and bags and a rear luggage rack from them for my new classic 350 reborn, they took about 1-month to arrive, both the luggage rack and the RH pannier frame were complete junk with none of the mounting points being located anywhere near to the mounting points on the bike and I was completely unable to rectify them without lots of cutting and welding, basically re-making the frames again, only the LH frame fitted with a small adjustment courtesy of a lump hammer... One of the bags was damaged with a hole punched through it breaking the hard plastic backing and tearing the canvas, the bag was also missing some D-rings on the straps so that the bag could not be secured to the frame. The other bag has been used a couple of times over a month and the stitching holding the straps on is already failing, I expect the bag will maybe last a few more months before it needs to be replaced entirely, Royal Rider didn't offer to replace the faulty items or refund the return postage costs which are considerable from Italy, I also can't recover the additional $40 import tax and duty I had to pay to the courier. I currently have 2 more orders with them, A toe-Heel gear shifter which was never delivered and was subsequently returned to the seller by the courier. I only found this out because after waiting nearly 2-months I contacted Royal Rider for an update on my delivery as the tracking info given on eBay had shown no activity apart from a tracking number being added... They recognised that I had already had a bad experience with them over the pannier/luggage rack purchase and because I left negative feedback on eBay they offered me a $10 refund for the inconvenience caused, I thought this was a bit of an insult for an order that cost me over $200, of course I had to remind them about this offer of a refund after receiving nothing for 2-weeks, they finally responded saying they had forgot and then paid a few days later. With regards to the missing gear shifter, Royal Rider are now refusing to refund me or send a replacement unless I remove the negative feedback I left for the pannier frame/luggage rack. I am now having to report the issue to eBay and my credit card company in an attempt to resolve the issue and try get my money back. The final item, a pair of touring foot pegs is still in transit by the courier after 1-month... fingers crossed they might arrive and be OK. So I have not had a very good experience with Royal Rider so far... maybe I have just been unlucky but I couldn't recommend them.

I've posted previously on this thread and others but returning to the point, I did buy other items from India in recent months. I still like Royal Rider but my last order, panniers and rails, will go straight into the CLOSET of shame. I asked for instructions for the rails and they promised a video but I am still waiting. The rails were definitely not OEM and I doubt the bags are either. They just don't seem to have the fittings shown on the Hitchcocks instructions. I have since bought rails from Hitchcocks which are factory, included fastenings and instructions, and superior quality. I am debating panniers as once you have the rails it seems there are other options than OEM. Lesson learned. The order to India was cheap but not cheap enough given I am not fitting them. I did not worry about attempting a return. I am sure if I was in India some back-street shop would have known what to do. It will be a case-by-case basis for whether I buy from an India-based retailer on eBay in the future. Other experiences have been great.

As a follow up on the Ebay seller Royal-Rider. I purchased a touring seat and spring set. The order came quickly and all is good.

Then I order engine guard, sump guard and bar end mirrors from Spare-nutsroyal. The engine guard is OEM, the mirror may be OEM, but the sump guard is not and it was very low quality steel and will be deposited into scrap iron pile. The brackets were slightly too long and the bends were past 90 degrees. Once installed the brackets bowed since they were slightly too long and the main body of the sump guard is not bent to the correct angle.12206P1000780.JPGP1000778.JPG

I made another effort on the sump guard and bent the overall angle to make it fit. After my first oil change I might decide to proceed with the scrap iron approach.
