The future is definitely NOT electric for me I’m afraid, either 2 wheels or 4.
Fully electric vehicles are not the answer to the ‘problem’ of personal transport, and if you look at the actual worldwide pollution problems, electric personal transport for the western world being forced on consumers will have a negligible effect at best. If the manufacturing and whole life pollution of the dam things is taken into account it could actually make things worse.
IMHO of course 😊

I was gifted one of those pete, from DVA,, last year, because they saw me walking and thought I would need it. It's up in the shed on charge. It is supposed to have a range of 15km, but I live up a steep hill, so it only has a range of 3km. When they gave it to me, I thought, " Is this what my life has come to at 63yo", so made a concerted effort to hit the gym a few more times a week, and also made the decision to buy my new motorbike this year, and if I didn't do it this year, it would never had happened! So those things above are a wake up call, when you are not looking after yourself in your older age. I got a new lease of life out of it.

Watched that Himalayan 450 launch video earlier this week - was surprised they are working on an ‘Electric Himmi’.
Thought they’d do a ‘road version first.
From advrider.com

"Royal Enfield was clear that this is not an all-show, no-go concept bike, nor is it a production-ready motorcycle, either.
It is exactly what the name says, a test bed using the Himalayan’s architecture for developing an electric drivetrain for use in future models,
and not just the Himalayan.

That would be the last thing on this planet for me to buy an electric motorbike...no way.
And of course no car either, don't people read about the batteries? This is not only dangerous it is not economical too. Where do we "dump"them later on, hey?
(If they don't blow up before that)

And not that alone, we are dealing with a high DC current and an extreme high voltage, not for the fainthearted to do some DIY work on it as per 12V/DC.
We will see a lot of accidents happen I guess...but not riding related.
