EIIR became monarch at the age of 21 and was still working (official meeting with Liz Truss two days prior) when she passed away at 96 talk about longest serving !!

King Charles III is the oldest person to become monarch at 73.

Two new top jobs in a country Liz Truss and Charles III in one week.

A few records that won’t be broken for a while; if ever.

She's my old boss, ( I swore an oath of allegiance to her 44 years ago ) I'm a monarchist with a small 'm'. I do think it needs to be streamlined, so goodbye Harry and Meghan, Andrew, Fergy and their daughters.
I had a lot of respect for the Queen, I just hope King Chaz can do as good a job.

I think there was one other PM in the '70s who served but I can't think who.
(y)Jim Callaghan - PM '76 to '79. He served as a lieutenant in the Royal Navy and is the only person to have held all four Great Offices of State,

Prince Andrew allegedly saw action as a helicopter pilot during the Falklands war, Prince Phillip was in action during his time in the Royal Navy during WW2. Prince Harry was an Apache helicopter pilot during the Afghan war. King Charles as far as I know did not see action during his time as a commander of the minehunter HMS Bronnington, and also qualified as a Naval helicopter pilot.
Dennis Healy who was Chancellor of the Exchequer in Jim Callahans government had been an officer in the Royal Engineers during ww2.
