Not sure how south Florida is, but most of the trails I have ridden in the panhandle are better suited for the fat tire Yamaha TW 200 or the Suzuki Van Van 200 because of the sugar sand.Hey I’m getting mine on Saturday. I’m in homestead. Any good trails you’ve been on?
For some reason the "Himma" will kick up the sugar sand with the front tire and even though there are two fenders I've had sugar sand hit me in the face and collect around the gas cap making it difficult to open without risking sugar sand falling in.Not the stock Pirellis that I had on my 2020 Himma. The Mitas E-09's are a bit better, but it is the rider that really needs the upgraded sand riding skills.
It's not wise to ride in a large group with people that you don't know their riding ability. It can get you in trouble quick. If I do write in a large group, I'm either in the front leading it or to the rear.Palm Harbor- Tarpon springs area.recently went to a bike nite at Quaker Steak ,had the only RE at the lot ,got alot of attention. I dont mind stopping in at bikenites once in a while but dont ride in groups .
I had friends that lived in Interlachen years ago. They have since passed. We used to stay there, using their yard as a base for Bike Week activities. Beautiful commute through ONF. At night Bambi was out in force, though. In-laws live in Beverly Hills.Himalayan in Ft. McCoy / Salt Springs / Ocala National Forest.
Yes, the ONF is nice. I live there part time and the other part about 40 miles south of Tampa. Kind of an every other week thing until I move to the forest full time. The Himalayan stays at the forest to use there. Many nice dirt roads to travel although some can get quite sandy quickly. You are right about the wild life, deer and bear are pretty prevalent especially at night. And lots of bikes passing through during bike week.I had friends that lived in Interlachen years ago.
