It was just meant to be a relaxing ride, but... There's always a but.

I hate it when you come up to a dried puddle that looks like its solid, so you get off the bike, test it with your feet and it feels solid, but as soon as you commit on the bike you get that sinking feeling :rolleyes:. Not sure if knobbies would have helped here or just dug a deeper trench.

no one can say you lack fortitude. how long did it take for you to get out of that muck?

Wasn’t too bad. Stopped the engine as soon as forward momentum was replaced by downward momentum.
After getting off the bike, rocking it backwards and forwards I was able to push it by the handlebars, with minimal throttle in first gear making some progress along the side of the bog. Then I had to turn right through the middle — which for some reason seemed like there was a firmer crust. That took more effort and revs to get through. All up, took about 20min.
