Greedy Dealerships

For F-sake...
Stupid bastards just take it out of the box and check fluids.
You can drop the shipping container off in my driveway and to hell with your warranty.
Most mechanics are morons I wouldn't trust to mow my grass.

I believe you are correct about the dealer charged labor price, but can ensure you, that mechanic in the back likely isn't even getting half of that charge.
Taxes, insurances, liscences, permits, fees, surcharges 😡
15 years ago I used to know the owner of an Indie shop. Oy the overhead costs !!

Air compressor...rubber hose coupling it to the air piping on the walls all neat and tidy to couplers at the work benches and bike lifts.... municipal building inspector informed him that was legally defined as permanently installed and would annually require both a $450 pressure vessel inspection and a $1,500 pressure vessel/boiler operators license. Annually.

He uncoupled the hose to the wall plumbing wheeled the compressor 3 feet coupled a 25 foot hose and said " what about now?"
Inspector replied portable air compressors need no license or inspection.

I hope he hooked it back up to the wall plumbing at least for the occupational safety inspector and the insurance inspectors inspections. Hoses on the floor are a hazzard.

RENA moved their Distribution & PDI center & warehouse in Texas to a bigger place. While they packed/moved/unpacked & set up, dealers did the PDI.

They should be settled in by now and back to doing the 115+ point PDI on each bike unless they quit that. I can't imagine they would quit thar because when they started doing the PDI at the Distro, warranty claims dropped 90% the first year.
All a dealer had/has to do is uncrate the bike, install the handlebars, connect battery, roll 'er onto the showroom floor and hang the pricetag.
