I am now in my 75th year and been riding continuously since I was 16.
I still feel 21 years old, (fortunate to be fit and well), but realise that my reactions and physical strength are both down compared to my more youthful days.
As a result I now ride my Interceptor 650 and a 1980 Honda CB400 Superdream. These keep me well within my (reduced) abilities.
I have stopped riding in groups to reduce the temptation of trying to keep up with younger riders, which probably wouldn’t end well.
Riding a bike keeps me feeling young but I am under no illusions regarding reduced reaction times. Fortunately, almost 60 years of riding allows experience to partly compensate.
Keep riding, keep living.
