Seconding the recommendation. Visited them on my last trip there (still scheming to escape the east coast). Told the guy I was just getting a feel for the bike culture & RE support in the area and they were very generous with their time.. sounded like plenty of events going on & great vibe overall..

I'll check the CSA web site. Funny thing, I was going to buy my RE from them about 6 months ago, but they totally insulted me on a trade offer, and would not budge , not one thin dime. I was so pissed I rode 125 miles North and found a fair dealer I could work with.

Bought my bike there last week, best price among three dealers in state. Didn't have a trade. RE rep helped load the bike.

Sometimes its the individual.

I work in auto repair, and when my customers complain about other shops, I opine " Sometimes you get the best mechanic in the worst shop in town, and sometimes you get the best mechanic in the worst shop in town."

That day, I must have got the worst salesman, and possibly a sales manager the day after his divorce. "No deal for you, sir!"

I did send them an email inquiring about RE events or clubs. I hope they respond.

Sometimes it's a sour apple in a group but my experience found a good path.
Sales guy, finance and RE rep were nice in person. I like single shops owned by families vs mega dealers.

Other dealers:
One dealer I won't mention was $1500 more! with $1100 for freight - on a 420 pound bike.
Another dealer in my journey had a used bike with only 100 miles but tried to add freight and then said it was UVC, used vehicle conditioning.
I said that bike has not even be to it's first service. There can't be any wear on it else it's a salvage title.
I also explained when I sold my last bike the cost to replace original tires came out of my end so I'm certain any part to replace
was deducted from the owner. They try every trick but also in that case, it was the sales manager playing hardball and not the salesman.
He tried to deflect the conversation to how tires can be sold longer. I could hear in his seconds delay he knew I was seeing through his words.
There was another RE dealer who was cold, but fair, and had a lower price.
Since I'm on the topic of vehicle saleman, will add a story with a salesman years ago saying if "You take care of me on the outside, I will take
care of you on the inside" as in paying him cash outside. I still remember that, and in all above cases I walked away.

Then called CAS and they had the best price and very pleasant.
It was easy all the way for me but again had no trade and didn't work with sales manager.
Ask for Ash about events, salesman; easy transaction and very supportive.

That is the salesman that played hardball with me. I gave him $1000.00 deposit on the phone, told him what bike i was going to trade, and all I asked for was to be treated fairly. I was willing to take a grand off WHOLESALE on my trade, but the offer they gave me was a slap in the face. I was going to pay cash and roll on out there, no fuss, easy peasy.

I politely asked for my deposit back and I rode on to Glendale. The rest is Interceptor history.

Maybe he was having a bad day.

Go ahead and contact him. He probably won't even remember me.

Beautiful ride. I looked at both twins as well as the Himi and went with the Scram for my mostly on road with occasional gravel.
Sorry to hear it didn't work out with CAS. I'll ask him about events.

If the Scram made just 10 more horsepower so it might be better on American freeways, I might be a buyer.

I paid the stupid fees..... Still was a decent amount for the Himalayan... With 6000 miles in 6 months I've done all my own service except 300 mile. I've saved more than the fees..... I really never have trusted dealer service departments.... Enjoy the ride!

They pretty much all suck in my experience no one will treat your bike like u do.having said that I had a Ducati dealer that fixed a warranty issue on my Ducati that did a beautiful job.Hers the kicker didn’t even buy the bike there.
Gold Coast motorcycle in long island.But I did go and buy my sons speed triple after that.

That's awesome. I usually hear horror stories about Italian motorcycle dealers like Ducati and Aprilia. Goes to show there are still some ethical people out there. What goes around, comes around. I use one certain Cycle Gear local store cause they actually act like they value customers......
