Himalayan Panniers and Set Ups

As you can read above I had soft luggage with heat shield for 11.000km. Heat shield was about 1-2cm off the exhaust and got barely warm.
If your bag and exhaust can never touch and there is a 3cm gap you will be fine.

Not really panniers but this is all I have on the bike for now. I am looking to get some naz bags made up for it though.

Just discussing with her to order some as we speak. Do you believe you could mount them without the pannier bars? If not I will just fashion something myself to stop the flapping about

I had the dealer fit the OEM pannier racks when I bought the bike, was $200 fitted in 2021. Worth it as it also relocated the indicators. So it’s not hidden behind panniers.
