A message for any potential buyers of Royal Enfields who may be checking this site out , whatever you do DON'T BUY an enfiied. Customer service uk never respond to emails ( there is no phone number ). The warranty is a joke, my Himalayan ( in warranty ) has been at the dealership for 5 ( yes five ) months waiting for one part.... I was a lifetime supporter but no longer, I urge any prospective buyer to seriously reconsider. Once your bike goes wrong your on your own.

you are meant to go to your dealer whom might have a direct relationship with RE, my dealer seemed to have no problem checking information with RE UK.

have you got a dealer you can go to and ask them to contact RE?

As with most motorcycle manufacturers, and to a lesser extent cars makers for that matter, the relationship you (as the customer) have with the supplying dealer, and the dealer has with the importer, is vitally important imho. These relationships can be the difference between getting a genuine warranty claim resolved in a timely manner and it dragging on for months.
Warranty claims in the UK (and I would guess in other countries too) can be difficult, as legally a buyers contract is with the supplying dealer, but the dealer is beholden to the importer to get claims approved, so they’re piggy in the middle really.
As in most of life, there’s good and bad dealers and importers - I’d love to know the real reasons RE took the importation, distribution and warranty side of the business away from MGB recently. This new arrangement will take time to settle down, and in the meantime people with issues like the OP has with his bike are sort of stuck.
This would not stop me buying an RE product, which imho is a bit of a knee jerk reaction because of one warranty case with one dealer - in general the bikes have proved pretty reliable, however despite saying all of the above, I’ve recently heard that the dealer closest to me (CMW Motorcycles in Chichester) are closing down shortly, which is a shame as they’re good guys and have been Aprilia and RE dealers for years. Things change I guess.
I hope the OP gets a satisfactory resolution to his problems soon.

It seems that he has -
my Himalayan ( in warranty ) has been at the dealership for 5 ( yes five ) months waiting for one part....
I didn't bother with "my" dealer after it's first service, and not sure now why I bothered with that, but I have friends who are becoming a bit brassed with RE,
since the NON handover from MotoGB.
Things do not seem to be going well.

When I asked the nearest RE dealer to me about a new switch, he suggested that Ebay would be my best bet. I went to Hitchcocks..

has been at the dealership for 5 ( yes five ) months waiting for one part....
What would that one part be?
Perhaps worth sourcing yourself, get the bike moving, and take up later with dealer / RE.?

I feel your frustration, my bike was in for awhile also and had a warranty claim rejected, so instead of going to the dealers with my shotgun i counted to ten and agreed a 60% reduction on the cost of a new fuel tank, i think most already know the warranty is a piece of toilet paper, but i would still buy another RE, a used one out of warranty, good luck i hope your issue is resolved, personally i would pull the bike from the dealers..

What part do you need?

Sorry but I did state in my post that the bike is at my local Royal Enfield dealership, with whom I have a very good relationship, they are equally frustrated in having my bike clog up their workshop. They also keep me very well informed that they regularly have contact with RE UK who keep promising them the part will turn up, never does.

sorry its a little confusing now as you say that your dealer has regular contact with RE UK, but you stated the warranty is a joke.
sounds like its not the warranty that is the issue and RE UK have approved some work its parts availability that is the issue.

i think you will find this is a world wide issue affecting all companies.
surly you can order the part yourself from india for example? waiting in anticipation to hear what part you are after....

The fuel injector, is the part, surely it doesn't take 5 months to supply one part, the costs I have had to bear in the meantime I could have flown to India and got it myself cheaper. As I said my dealership are equally frustrated with RE UK and tell me I am not their only Enfield customer who has been waiting months for spares. One person is due a complete engine that they have been waiting 3 months for, why don't RE UK support answer emails ?

Maybe they didn't pay the supplier of the Injectors so the supply ran out?
Glad it's you and not me, did the injector change when the BS4 became Bs6/Euro5? I thought the Bullet injector was very similar.
I recon this proves RE doesn't read the Forum.

My internet service provider emailed me to inform me that they will no longer be doing emails and have arranged a shunting yard to put Me into untill Sept next year when they will start charging for the service.
Perhaps emails are becoming Redundant ( like customer service)

When a friend had a similar problem - (not with an Enfield, and a few years ago, (times change)..., HIS dealer took the required part from a showroom bike, got him mobile,
then sorted THAT bike out with the importer.

But as I say, times change. :(
-----------------------------------------
OP doesn't tell us if he has Euro4 or 5 bike.
Hitchcocks have Euro4 injectors in stock (£126).

Euro5 - NONE. :(

Cedric - I understand your frustration. My problems with RE Service are in another thread and that was for a minor part, an updated Gear Position Sensor cable to avoid battery discharge. My dealer, GV Bikes in Taunton gave me the part I needed from another bike and eventually RE sent them a replacement.

Assuming you have a BS6 bike…..
I know the TBs differ between the BS4 and BS6 models - is the injector on the BS6 built into the throttle body? On the BS4 it fits into the alloy inlet manifold between the TB and head so is an individual unit, easily changed.

If the dealer has had the bike for 5 months I would be contacting Citizens Advice as there must be a time limit for what is reasonable to wait for a warranty repair…….and if they have other BS6 Himalayans in stock then by now they should be offering to give you an injector or TB from one of those.

If RE do not get their act together in UK then the new Triumph 400 bikes (road and scrambler, due out Jan 2024) may kill their sales of the 450 Himmy / Scram.

I had a good response from the Calgary, Alberta dealer I bought mine from. I live in BC. I ordered it and it got trucked here. I had idle problems, like everyone else and looked in to adjusting the ECU. I phoned them for the proper voltage settings. They phoned Royal Enfield, dunno where, for the voltage settings and called me back. I was happy. I haven't needed any parts.

Good to hear. Living in the sticks, the last thing I want to do is truck my bike two hours to the dealer, then drop it off and cross my fingers. So far my RE's have been flawless, and I do all my own wrenching anyway. That said, all mods and parts I've wanted have been readily available on the web, even for my '48. Hitchcocks is amazing.

I wonder what was the end result of the OP? It makes me wonder if the injector diagnosis was correct by the dealer. Generally it's the fuel pump being clogged up with gunk, isn't it?

As I have said a few times, I love my Interceptor but though the warranty sounds good and will be honored in some cases I am sure, I was never relying on it. I believe the relationship with my dealer is more important than that with RE corporate. Because I grew up in another era, I just assume at some point everything will be on me if I want to keep my machine running.
