I can't imagine it - I've been in Atlanta when it's got to 35 and that was more than enough for me.

Nope. I took my battery out in December but hadn't been able to get the cover on until late last week. We had a few warm days in early January that tempted me to go ride but I resisted the temptation.
We're under 2 feet of new snow today so winter has really arrived.

-13ºC here in the Chicago suburbs today. Which is warm compared with last Friday morning, when it was -13ºF (what is that... -25ºC...). No relief (temperature at or above freezing) for at least another two weeks. I was watching snowmobiles go by on the river last night. Never mind not being able to ride; I've got a laundry list of projects to do on the motorcycles and its too cold in the (unheated due to a stupid decision thirty years ago) garage to work on any of them aside from re-covering the seat on my antique Yamaha. Sigh... At least we didn't get the foot of snow folks south of us got... mostly because it was too cold for the air to hold more than an inch worth of snow...

I grew up in UK, moved to Australia in 1981 when I was 25. I crashed both bikes & cars on ice and snow before I left.
I would rather go looking for snow in the winter, a fair distance from where I live now, than have it find me!
