I just want to post a nice Interceptor 650 photo.

I'll give it a try.
I was hesitant because, it looked like it was clear coated over the decal.
It's weird, when I picked up my bike at the dealer, they had one with Interceptor on the side covers!
I tried to get them to switch them with mine but, they wouldn't do it.
I also noticed that the USA versions came with the really cheesy looking round, plastic turn signal lamps which I replaced with some genuine Lucas units, really improved the look of the bike.
Thanks,
Hans
I used a heat gun on low, you are left with an impression in the clear coat. I’ll probably sand mine smooth and clear coat them. Yay US Honda for complaiNing

The subtle touches you made really look great!
To the untrained eye, it looks like a total restoration, nice job!
Just noticed your side covers say Interceptor instead of INT.
Did you replace the decals?
When I bought the bike at Baxter Cycle, for a bit of an 'upcharge', I had them switch from the original orange gas tank to a red/chrome tank that they had in stock. They just gave me the set of Interceptor sidecovers while I was at their shop, but the right side cover has a scuff in the black paint, so they aren't perfect, but it was nice of them to just give them to me. I also still have the standard 'Int' covers it came with.

Just noticed that you changed your handlebars too, I really like the look.
What brand are those?
Hans
They are just a generic set of 7/8th inch low bars I've had laying around the garage for several years. They just barely fit in the bar clamps, being to narrow between the bends, but are ok. I shortened them an inch on either end, and had to drill a couple of switch-housing locator pin holes, but they're exactly what I wanted on this bike, so I'm pretty pleased with them.

With the T201 mufflers - no baffle - and the cat-free head pipes it sounds just right to my old ears..... just a great over-run growl without the sharp tiring bark of the previous TEC 2 int 1 setup. The new shocks transform the handling along with the Conti tires. all in all a fine retro ride with modern fueling and wiring...

I had to include a shot of my "Betty". The bar end mirrors have so much better optics and angle. The handlebars have been moved back 1 inch as I am a shorter guy. The custom seat is by far the best money spent. What a JOY to ride now that I have replaced all 4 relays! 007.JPG

My brother from Southern Cali was out here recently and I thought I'd share some high-res pictures of his INT650.

He's redone the suspension, bars, grips, levers, installed Corbin seat, a 2n1 header, full LED lighting and some other stuff I can't remember. His bike sounds real snarly and definitely leaves me in the dust on my Himmie! He plans on doing the 865 upgrade soon, the nut
