Interceptor bars on a Classic 500?

Just throwing this out there folks, never know.
Has anyone ever swapped the bars out on a 500 to get a more upright riding position? Wondering if Interceptor bars might be a good fit.
Comments, observations, mockery and disdain are all welcome and appreciated.

Yup. Hitchcocks cross braced off road bars on a Pre unit 500 lean burn.
I don't recall which particular bars but it was good. They gave more leverage off pavement and are as just nice on pavement. The riding position is a little less "proper" and a little more straight spine leaned just a touch forward arms a bit more open.

Thanks Mudd. Does the stock cabling fit the larger bars?

The clutch cable works, throttle cable was switched out to accommodate a 30 mm oval throat flat slide carb.
