Just bought a crusty classic 500...

Latest update, I think my photography skills ( yes Neil...I know) are on par with my welding and painting skills which is to say yes, I can apply paint...no I cannot be called a painter! Chucking merrily along and have decided to try to "satin" the rims rather than paint them, not a lot of confidence in the paint actually sticking long term! Whole paint job will be ceramic coated soon, hope it adds some resilience to it.
Looks a bit different from day one eh lads!

Coming together....slowly!
The front fender already had holes drilled into it so went with front licence plate with a number from an actual WW2 Canadian bike. Will get the same number on the tank at some point along with Army and Unit designations.
Next up is the rear sprocket/brake assembly then it will be rolling again!
I could not help myself so I fired the old hag up once the electrics were back together just to see if it ran! Thankfully it survived my fiddling and spun up. Happy days!
