Yeah with all the dirt roads versus paved outside of Phoenix of coarse in AZ road bikes are kinda boring. I have owned 2 different Harley's, 1 1200 Sportster and a custom EVO chopper both awesome bikes but I'm not a bar hopper type of guy. And before them I owned a early 90s Kawasaki dual sport in CO and missed the fun of back country exploring but didnt want a road legal motocross or alien designed machine and the Himmy just filled all the boxes for me. Will definitely post some pics should be going to the White Mountains this weekend.

I hear ya, I wasn't an "adventure bike" kinda guy but the Himalayan caught my attention with it's unique style when it came out and I read the reviews. Then when I saw Itchyboots on YT riding hers, the Himalayan started calling me. I researched and held off because I was afraid it was too slow for California roads. This year I went to my local RE dealer and laid eyes on my '22 Rock Red, I felt that lightning strike "I am made for you" feeling from it. I sat on the bike and felt at home.

Bought it that day, and my love and respect for the Himalayan have grown ever since! It does just fine on the road, too. I'm slow, but not the slowest!

Hello and welcome to this forum.
I have a lot of family in AZ. I used to pop down every Feb. for two weeks with a bunch of friends out of Idaho to explore AZ. Then before riding back to the NW I’d visit my uncle in Masa for three four days and we’d go off and explore somemore in his little PU. It was the best of times. AZ is a beautiful state with amazing ancient history.
