Larger Foot Pegs for the Himalayan

Has anyone found both wider and longer - 4”+ - foot pegs that fit the Himalayan? I feel much safer when the width of my boots fits entirely on the pegs. Warp 9 Adventure pegs that fit my KLR are close, but would need to be doctored to sit perpendicularly.

Himalayan-fitting Pivot Pegz supplied by Hitchcock’s, though not so long, may be the best available fit, but any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you. I think those are ones (or same/similar dimensions), I put on a KLR. Definitely an improvement over KLR OEM, but they still seemed undersized with moto boots on, and now I’m spoiled by the Warp 9s.

Either here or on ADVRider someone went with the Pivots, then extended them with an outer band of hand-cut stainless steel and stainless spacers/fasteners. I may try that, though guess it’s just a matter of time before one of the oversize peg manufacturers catches up with REH.

I'm in Texas. I'd love to ride one day in NM, it's all flat where I live and pretty boring for the most part. The foot pegs were something I noticed too on my 1st ride, the are about half the width I'd like for them to be.

I know this is old now, but do you have a link or part number for that? That would be perfect, seems like you could make the pegs a lot longer so my heals don't hit the exhaust!

Thanks I found them too, I also emailed them asking them how long they are, I would like my pedals to be longer than the stock ones, by at least an inch or so. I'll post back if they email me back.

They said the the length is 3 - 3/8". so that should be enough, plus I can weld them further out if need be.

The new MK4 Pivot Pegz are 100mm long, which is 15mm longer than the MK3. Quite a size difference compared to the stock Himalayan pegs.

Those look sweet! I got the weld on ones, just need to find time to weld them on. I've never tried the pivot type pegs, I always felt the one thing i never to want move are my pegs lol, but I know some swear by them.

Ali express ....arrived tday...£16.00/pair(deliverd to UK, no duty./taxes demanded)...much broader & a little longer and very 'substantual' cast alloy....95mm long(not inc the pivot lug) & 55mm(at widest point)...stock hima is 85mm long & 45mm wide

Suzuki DR650 footpegs fit. I have had the Aliexpress ones now for the last 25000 kms with lots of standing. They are comfortable.

is this a straight bolt on replacement for the stock 2020 Himalayan, you think?

Went out on my first dirt ride yesterday and discovered what happens to the stock pegs (with rubber) when your feet get wet and the going gets rocky

Had a look at pivot pegz just now but they are A$280/- ... ouch. I'm going to remove the rubber topper on the standard pegs for now (for my level of riding, that's adequate) but if i can find bigger pegs than standard for less money that would be awesome... There's the whole 'you get what yer pays for' bit, but then again, it IS 1/10 the price, so if it fits, i'll give it a go... does it fit tho?

I shelled out the $ for pivot pegs and love them. I took a tumble in wet grass and the pegs were fine. Dug a pretty good hole in the turf though.

Apropos of my order for the aliexpress pivot pigz ... well, ordered 25th May, arrived here all the way from Chyyyyna in 7 days flat. ETA was 18 Jul.

They arrived packaged well and look good. They're really well made, basically just a rip off of the pivot pegz. Just have to hope they will fit.



Popped off the OEM pegs and they slot straight in. The prongs fit like the OEM pegs, the original bolt goes through fine and no rattle.




Everything is perfect for 1 ... Minor... Hiccup...

The cammy bit past the bolt hole on the OEM pegs is a fair bit longer (there's some 10mm between the hole and the end of the spur, and the new ones are only about 7mm). As a result the pegs hang loose and don't stop up against the frame and are not sitting horizontal. Ahh bugger...

Popped a couple of washers to see if that was the issue and yep, with the extra thickness the pegs sit properly flat and...

fold up AND pivot properly... Just like the pricey original ones

Now all I need is to call on a friendly welder to weld a small metal plate either to the frame or to the end of the prongs (frame probably stronger, but then OEM pigs cannot be used anymore). Shouldn't really be a problem though.

All up i'm happy to have sprung for the test. Well worth the money and time. Link is above for those who want to save themselves $200/- rather than support an Aussie business
