Thank you very much for the details, and for your time.Greetings, apologies for the delay and a happy new year to you all
Nearly back to normal.
Details as requested.
The bike is an RE Bear 650 ( although this method can be used on any side stand )
The foot enlarger is just a cheapo one from AliExpress ( available for many many makes and models )
1 No. Standard Ice hockey puck from eBay.
4 No. m5 x 30 bolts + locknuts.
Use the base of the foot enlarger to mark the 4 hole positions on the puck and drill right through with a 5mm drill, turn the puck over and using a 10mm drill bit countersink the holes deep enough for the bolt head + a bit more.
Fit the foot enlarger to the side stand foot, offer up the pre drilled puck and fit the longer bolts from below picking up the original holes in the foot enlarger and tighten as usual.
I then cut off the excessive threads and using black touch up paint, painted the locknuts and exposed thread..
As you can see from my picture it all blends in very well
The whole process takes less than an hour and is pretty straightforward. The advantage of using the puck is that if it wears down over time it can be replaced very simply.
So...larger foot area and reduced lean angle...win-win
If you need more information just let me know.
Best regards
Robbi
I currently have four (4!) universal feet enlargers for my M350 on order from AliXpress, and now will have your guidance when I see what one seems to fit best. (I had already tried one that was allegedly specific to the sidestand on my M350, but it was an abysmal failure.)
