My old leather jacket just got handed down to my Grand Son. It seems that I have out grown it in my old age. I've been looking for a while and the prices are all over the map. Most of the stuff on line are thin Cafe Style Poser jackets made from Goat or Nagi hide. Faux Leather. I found this one tonight on Amazon Black Friday Sale for $124.91 I know it's made in Pakistan, but if and I mean if I could find one made in USA it would be 3 to 4 times that price. It's 1.2 to 2mil Buffalo hide with Armor plates in the elbows, shoulders and back. It also has a removable liner and plenty of pockets and vents. YKK Zippers with storm flap, zipper cuffs and snap back straps. It's supposed to be here by Dec 5th. Hope all goes well, but with Amazon I can always send it back.

Nice jacket! Great price too. (y)
I have a bunch of leather and love it, but I no longer ride when it's s---ty out. Well, and I have gotten larger.
My favorite is a Victory jacket. It's thick and super quality, same brand heavy zippers. All branding is stitched on. I now longer have a Victory and it still lives here. Just can't get rid of it.

I inherited a Frank Thomas jacket in the old Suzuki colours from a friend about 20 years ago due to that same shrinking problem. I plan on keeping it for as long as possible since it's soooo nice and comfy :)

Edited to add: In more practical advice for buyers, my other half got an Aviatrix brand leather jacket a few years back, it's been really good for what was very little money at the time and I think the brand is still going so they're worth checking out.

I recently found a deal on a leather jacket... a Noru Tetsuo jacket with shoulder and elbow armor. I saw it at a local shop and it was on sale for just $99 - but they didn't have my size. I consider Noru a good brand and liked the jacket. So I looked online and found that many other retailers are selling the same jacket at the same price. I impulsively ordered one yesterday.

I'm still a little conflicted on the purchase.... Firstly it's a 'race fit' which means it is a tight fit (not sure I'll find it comfortable). Secondly, they are also a good size smaller IMO (not just the cut, they are small). I generally between a XXL or an XL depending on the cut - never XXXL. But for this item, I have to XXXL and hope the sleeves aren't too long.

Bought a Harley Davidson leather jacket in 1992. It was made in Pakistan even back then. It's still a great jacket except it "shrank" so I gave it to my Granddaughter.
I too own a "Made in Pakistan Leather jacket" and its my favorite jacket on or off the bike.. I have a likeing for leather jackets ,,I have 3/4 ...My most expensive (bought from my wife) is a Belstaff ,it a Italian design,,I think Italian leather is soso good.... I also picked up from a junk shop a JPS Norton jacket,,its a winter with lining,,,it has a Norton logo on the front ,trouble is makes me look fat . I was talking yesterday about bike boots and I recommened some boots,,then they asked if they were Vegan boots.. Vegan boots !!!! So being naive ,I said whats vegan boots??? They said no animals products involved ...So I said only Leather ...they said "Thats alright then" go figure !!!

On the subject of cattle not eating meat - Anyone remember Mad Cow Disease (BSE) back in the 90's.

Nobody (outside of the industry) saw what cattle were eating.
Our neighbours / friends became vegan just because of that....

If vegan "leather" is made of plastic, what are vegan burgers and sausages made of?
Vegans.

More seriously, a mix of plants and fungus. I grew up on a farm, and I've previously worked in a meat packing plant - I think that today's factory farming methods are horrifically inhumane and should be stopped. Meat is an optional part of the human diet, and people should only eat it if they're prepared to do the hard work of slaughtering and dressing their own animals. In the same way, I think if a government declares war (or a Special Military Operation) they should be the ones marching on the front line.

As an update to my own message above -- the jacket arrived and I can confirm that the XXXL is a perfect XXL fit. The sleeves are not too long. I can't say that all sizes are 1-size smaller in reality, but it's likely. It's a very nice jacket - can't believe it was only $99.

Every time I see "mechanically separated chicken" listed on canned meat, I get visions of lawn mowers. ;)

My Dad had what you call a small holding ( which was a small plot of land with a shed and 10 breeding sows(pigs)) ,,my job was the feed and clean out,,, When the sows were coming up to give birth, they were put into cages ,yes giving birth in a narrow cage so the mother did not lay on the pigglets,,,Thinking back it was cruel ,,no doubt!!! Thinking about it today upsets me ,but I think its banned now .

I wouldn't feel bad. Not only did the birthing cages stop the sow from crushing its newborn, it also keeps them from turning around and eating them. That's not uncommon.
Back to Rocket-3's jacket, I think I stated above that Pakistan has been making quality leather goods forever. I wouldn't think twice about buying leather made there.
