I really want to ride the TET in France, especially sections 14 and 14, both sections however are infamous for their muddy conditions when it;s been wet. Turns out: It's hard to find out if it has been wet. I tried googling it, I tried to find cumulative precipitation charts, I tried following the weather forecast for w while, but it didn't really work for me. I'm not really good at being patient, but I am pretty handy with satellite data and API's. So I made a tool.
The other thing I spend a lot of time at when planning, even with pre planned routes, is seeing if I don't miss things. For instance: The TET Luxembourg contains a straight, boring bit through the little town of Beaufort. Somehow they decided not to take the parallel curvy road that goes past these ruins, just out of sight from the route they DID plan. So you miss it. I don't want to miss sites like that.
There are many, many sites just off the TET you miss that way, but it also happens when I plan my own route (I use Kurviger for that). So, you guessed it, I made a tool. And while I was at it, I made a tool for finding good camping sites too.
I put those on a website. It's free, it'll remain free and I won't put any adverts on it either. It does cost me money, so feel free to make a donation if you find the tools useful (they are to me). but feel free to skip that pop up, I certainly won't blame you. It should work world wide with the exception of the extreme north and extreme south that doesn't have satellite coverage).
