Regarding the "engine light" mine came on and stayed on at about 250 miles, they switched it off at the first service and it's been OK since, The dealer said that it's to do with the very tight parameters of the Euro 5 mapping, and that they were awaiting the availability of a new map ( which entails the bike being connected to the internet and done from India) apparently this is available for the Meteor and the Interceptor, but ( a couple of months ago ) was not yet available for the Classic 350. That may well be different now?
I think my problem may have been precipitated by leaving the bike ticking over in the shed where it was breathing in its own exhaust? I always follow the recommendation to leave it ticking over for 2 mins to get the oil moving, before revving. and as I have to ride up a ramp to get out of the shed, it's not easy, however with a bit of brute force, I cam get the front half of the bike out of the door, which I now do.
Looking for some rubber heat proof pipe which I can route the exhaust through the back wall, but can only find huge lengths which cost a fortune
