Depending on the glaze it might be possible to heat it with a oxy torch until the glaze melts and joins it together - seen it done!

Asymmetric expansion and stress differentials are tough on coffee mug handles.
Thermo shock induced stress is also a cup killer.

Yep, knowledge of expansion and stress differentials is a essential skill for pro wielder of an Oxy torch ( welder), but one most amateurs are usually totally unaware of.
I find gravity can bugger mugs up without the benefits of microwave induced stress

I'm pleased so far Alan with the super meteor, my only slight niggle is that the rear suspension is hard but I'm hoping it will soften after more miles (only done 600 to date).

I've hear rear shocks take a few miles to wear in. I've always wondered if a dab of oil from a swab on each rear shock shaft, the chrome part, would help?
