You must be in the north to be that remote. I am in Rossland, BC and there is an Interceptor 650 in Nelson nearby. I also have about a dozen Redditch Enfields of all sorts, and a pair of 1964 little red Hondas, 55cc Sports.
I bought my 650 GT in Langley last fall and trailered it home because of the weather. They did not have the original crate but sold me a steel Triumph crate for $50 so I could tarp the bike on my open trailer.

Good to hear from a fellow Canuck. I'm in Alberta. North of Grande Prairie. I'll be heading down to the lower mainland in about 5 weeks to pick her up.

Rossland is a beautiful area. Lots of good roads. The last time I was there was in 1986 on my then-new GSXR-1100.

Cheers!

Congratulations on the new GT. It’s a beautiful bike. I really like the chrome tank. When I got mine a year ago the chrome was all sold out so bought a white one.

Do you know there is a recall on the brakes? Calipers can get sticky and brakes drag if ridden on salted roads. New improved calipers are free. Can the dealer do the work before you take delivery?
I am interested to see pic's of the fairing on your GT. Fairing so small it hardly counts as even a bikini fairing.

I will be interested to know if dealers have warranty replacements in hand, or if we must wait for the work.
You are brave heading into a virus hot zone to collect your bike. Be careful. This is what the travel ban is about. Please check if your trip is allowed.

Well, that sucks. BC just announced a cross-border travel ban for the next 5 weeks..... I was 5 days away from picking up the bike....

You must be itching to get out on that bike by now. Folks are nervous about the variants now so prevalent at the coast. Fears of being Ontario.
What did your dealer say about parts availability for the recall? I presume dealer is International Motorsports.
Hang in there, we will be riding yet.

I made arrangements today to have the bike shipped. I'm still waiting to find out about the calliper availability. Hopefully I'll be riding in a couple of weeks!

After a month delay caused by a provincial border closure, it's finally on its way. Much appreciation to the folks at International Motorsports in Langley for their patience and assistance. Should be here in a couple of days....

your first miles should be done easy breaking it in, so you can do without a fairing the first few rides....
Beautiful machine, congratulations!
