Mystery hole on Bullet crankcase

I can't find any good pictures of the inside and outside case on the side of that style bike, but wonder if it is similar to the one on the right side cover on the Himalayan 411. My 2019 Himalayan has a similar hole with a plug on its right side case. There have been a few Himalayans that have leaked from that plugged location and they replaced the sidecase under warranty.
I had wondered if it there might be an oil pathway which runs down the side of the cover that could only be machined in that way then plugged. Anyways, I suspect it might be under pressure and why if they are not perfectly sealed some have seeped oil.

Oil gallery plug. Degreasing it and filling the hole flush with magic metal with make it oil tight(er) and aesthetically pleasing.
I tried JB Weld but the oil still seeped through. I assume the compound must be porous. I have dug it out cleaned, de greased and have sealed with Araldite. See what happens. Amazing that no one including RE and several dealers seem to know what the hole is for.

With the engine running, can you feel any pressure from the hole ? how about a rivnut in the smaller hole and a suitable bolt.
Degreasing those machined oil galleries is a nightmare because oil just loves to sweat back out of the aluminum pores while the epoxy is curing. If the Araldite doesn't hold, try cleaning it out again with some heavy-duty brake cleaner, let it dry completely, and use a bit of high-temp RTV silicone or a specialist metal putty. Sometimes a slight mechanical plug works better than glue if there's any crankcase pressure building up behind it.
