I had a good day out at the MCL/NEC show today... sadly, I didn't buy anything!
(No bike... not even a pair of gloves.)
A cold run (4 degrees) in the morning, but only my left thumb suffered... a bloke I chatted to in the Bike Park had the same problem with his _right_ thumb, so I don't know what's going on there!
The show seemed much busier this year, which I didn't greatly like, but I guess it's a good thing for the industry.
The Royal Enfield area denied an imminent Himalayan 750, so I guess
@Banger is right, and we'll have to wait another year.
I didn't get my free coffee (grumpy man said "The Girl" was on her lunch break, and wouldn't deign to lower himself to such a mundane task), so
@ChampRoyal , you owe me!
It was almost enough to send me back to BMW...
...speaking of which, the 450GS was pretty awesome...
...but if I see another parallel-twin with 270-degree firing interval, I think I'll scream.
What's that... it's a 135-degree firing interval??
How innovative.
The Chinese bikes seemed to be where the real excitement lives... so many brands... so many crazy bikes!
Not just
@Midlife Crisis 's Hero Hunk, but offerings from Benda, Voge, and Kove, and then European-badged Chinese bikes like Benelli and Morbidelli.
How about a Keeway v-twin 300 (reminded me of the lovely old Morini 3 1/2).
Or a Benda v-four 500, with a tractor tyre on the back!
(Could you really ride up to your local bike meet on a Benda?)
Anyway, it's all good clean fun.
I hope all who go later in the week enjoy it as much as I did, and don't suffer too much with the weather!
Ride Safe.
