New Classic sidecase racks Question

Hey all,

I just got the new classic 350 and was looking for sidecase racks from givi, specifically the monokey, once they used to offer for the classic 500 model, as I kept the givi Trekker sidecases from my V-STROM.
Apparently givi doesn't offer anything regarding sidecase racks, so my question is if the classic 500 frame is the same as the new 350, which would made the 500 model racks compatible to the new one.

Does anyone have a clue? I have been searching on the internet for a couple of days now, but couldn't find any information on that matter.

Thanks in advance guys!

Cheers
George T.

There is an old post with reference to universal adapters for different pannier rail types...Read before purchasing Givi rack for Himmy | Royal Enfield Owners Forum

I think Youtube Stuart Fillingham might be a good source too. He has a classic 500 and 350 and quite a few videos regarding pannier rails fitting both bikes, luggage options. I have the 350 classic and simply went with Hitchcock's model 93215 pannier rails. Perfect fit using existing bolts, no spacers.

Thanks mate, I'll keep that in mind as a plan B. I will try and contact RE directly for measurements regarding the bolt positioning in the classic 500/350.
I want to mount the PL/PLR pannier racks for monokey sidecases. Either to use with my current Trekker or get a new pair of he Dolomity in black.

With the ones you mentioned, I could use the SW Motech universal waterproof panniers.. they should fit.

So those bags take quite a lot of gear to fill them up then? They look good.
I've asked Hitchcocks to tell me when the next supply of pannier rails come in so I can get the whole pannier and rails set together.

And this is what it looks like with the bags/boxes removed.
Nice and tight to the frame, plus it gives me lots of anchoring points for bungee cords when I'm not using the sidebags.

The last pic is the "C" shaped brackets (attached to ammo cans) that you can purchase separately and bolt it to any type of bag or box you want to use. It hooks on the mating "C" bracket on the bike and is key locked once in place (y)

I think they are 20 liter each. Basically, rain gear in one and warm clothing in the other with a little room left over for say half a shoe box of small items in each. The Hitchcock's rails are a perfect fit using existing bolts with one extra piece that attaches (see pic).

Very similar to Mosko pannier frames, that I have fitted to my Malle bags and Himalayan pannier racks.

The joys of being in 'Sunny Spain' as the holiday ads used to tell us back in the 1960's and 70's.
Having said that, the photo was taken about 8.00 AM hence long shadows .
Enjoy. I was hoping to a do a few hundred miles today on The Bullet but at 9.20 a.m. I am still waiting for the fog to lift!
