Hi there, currently own one of the last Classic 500's, Himalayan and a Continental GT, amongst other stuff. Thought I would join to discuss RE's with like minded folk. Not sure if there are any other Scottish members on here? I run a RE Owners Scotland FB group, all are welcome North and South of the border. Nice to meet you all.

Hello EverythingRE, welcome to this forum from across the pond.

I’m also a bit of a RE nut owning a Himmy, Pegasus, 2020 Trials, two Bullets, Continental GT 535, and Continental GT 650, with a large stable of other bikes. My life is motorcycles, big or small I like them all.

12 months ago I had a few litre sports bikes but after turning 50 I decided they were too much for the roads I frequent. The RE's are perfect for the twisty roads near me. I also own a Honda Monkey 125 and a Vespa 150  Every biker should own a new Monkey, such a laugh! Nice to chat with you.

A friend just bought a new Benelli 135 and he’s been twisting my arm to buy one.

Please give me strength, I need to hold out for REs new Super Meteor 650 soon to come out next year. My problem is I never met a bike I didn’t like.

Very nice Monkey, I love that color.

I find it’s much more fun to ride a slow bike fast then a fast bike fast and you can go into the corners faster and come out faster with the smaller bikes.

Hi there Everything RE.

I am a Himalayan owner from Glasgow but currently living a nomadic existence in Europe. I am on a RTW trip that the current insanity has put on hold.

The forum is a good place to exchange views and ask advice about things that you may not be sure of. Like most forums there are a couple of self opinionated idiots that frequent it but they are easily identified and easily ignored.

You probably already know the type, have a bike (or lots of them) only ride them under very specific circumstances (only in perfect weather, wearing perfect clothing, etc) but tell others where they are going wrong and how they should ride, think, behave, etc.etc.

However, welcome to the forum and I hope you feel at home here..

Well said. Advrider.com is notorious for self-opinionated posts which go off at a complete tangent from the original post. This forum seems OK so far but it wouldn't do any harm to have the ignore option which others have.
