Not sparking right ?

Afternoon all, Bit of an odd one this

Got given a 06 500 in bits to sort out for my cousin. I put it all back together but it wont fire. Pulled the plug to check for a spark, When you hit the starter button and the engine is turning over there is no spark but as you let go of the button it sparks once ?

Battery voltage? Resting and with the starter button pressed.
Have you tried with the kickstarter?
Condensers are cheap enough. Fit a new one.

Resting 12.6 button pressed 10.4 . I will give the kick start a go once i have sorted some burn out wiring and get a new condenser
