Different product, but can you tell me how much longer the Powerbronze rear hugger (section over the tyre) for the 450 Himy is, compared to the original on the bike.

It's been half a year since its release - can anyone report on how the screen performs? The stock RE screen is buffeting onto my chin / lower edge of visor and the noise on dual carriageway is really bad. I'm sure I'd appreciate the additional width, but above all I'm looking to get rid of noise over buffeting, creating some doubts between cutting a stock screen, getting the lower Powerbronze unit or this touring unit...

We haven't received a huge amount of feedback on the 452 touring screen yet - but it was designed based on feedback for the other options in the range, so I'd hope it would help to alleviate the issues you're having with noise. Obviously it is dependent on your height as well. Looking at posts on this forum from Laserman regarding the touring screen on the 411, that helped a lot with noise and it sounds like he is a pretty tall chap. The 452 touring screen is also taller and wider than that screen, though obviously the whole setup is completely different. As with most things, it depends a lot on the type of riding that you do. If it is mainly on road over distance, I'd recommend the touring screen. If you do take the bike off the beaten path, the adjustable screen has been a popular option for us. If you prefer cleaner air, the Adventure Sports is a good option, though I'd imagine that would be more fatiguing on a long day in the saddle. Forgive the essay!

The clarification is much appreciated! I'm roughly 190cm / 6 foot 3" and suffice to say finding a good screen on my last bike proved a challenge. A lot of screen designs seem more focused on the size of the bubble rather than how clean the airflow onto the rider is. I'll admit it's probably not easy to make that happen without ending up with a sports tourer screen! Anyway, your touring screen of the 450 Himi appears like the first unit that's worth consideration for me. As an immediate remedy I'll shorten my standard screen tonight but come winter I know I'll be on the lookout for a warmer alternative...
