Royal Enfield Parts -- USA

Looks like a good start, a dealership down in Florida has their full Suzuki parts catalog online and that was a wish come true when I was rebuilding the GSX and trying to find all the little fasteners, vibration pads, etc. When someone finally does that for RE they may find themselves with more business than the manufacturer can keep up with.

Hopefully they tag some Classic parts soon, right now a search finds nothing for that bike or the Scram.

I'd like to see USA-based alternative to Hitchcocks. I use Hitchcocks for large orders so the $30 to $50 shipping cost doesn't hurt as much. Makes no sense for a $10 oil filter. On the other hand they usually deliver in 48 hours. Excellent service so far, and US shipping isn't that much cheaper.

Very neat--I'd love an alternative to Hitchcock's as well. I live maybe 10 minutes from my dealership who usually has parts on hand, just are often a little coy about their prices.

Would love to be able to look up xyz part, see the price, and click order instead of having to fill out a form or call. Really, would just be happy if they would list what they have and how much it costs.

My dealer for Maine is an hour north of my home and only carries RE bikes as a side line to his other brands. No spare parts unless ordered from RE. And limited service options. That's what I get for living in the great frozen north...

Funny story about Hitchcocks... A week ago I ordered a pair of Stadium bar-end mirrors for my 350 Classic. Ordered 5 AM on Monday. They were in my hands in New Hampshire by 5 PM Tuesday. About $30 shipping. (I guess the fact I live a dozen miles from a DHL airport hub helps.) Meanwhile, UPS wants $40 to ship two items from Texas with a 3 to 5 day wait.

Nice to have a decent RE dealer. We have a dealer in Tallahassee, but so far, couldn't get a rear tube for the Himi from him (got it about 4 blocks down the road at the Ducati dealer. Also, took 3 1/2 months to get the indicator light that broke, under the headlight. I just order all my parts online now. Oh yeah, over a week to get a flat fixed, so I bought a Rabaconda. Great machine, bit expensive, but has proved to be worth it for me.

I had to go into another state during the brake caliper recall. Nearest dealer in Maine is up in augusta. He has very few RE items or parts.

IMO, Baxter Cycle in Marne ("Mar-nee"), Iowa is also a good resource. I got my SM650 there along with various additional bits and bobs. Prices seemed right and service was great. In addition to RE accessories and parts, they carry a range of 3rd party items and also parts that are "Used and Take Offs".

FWIW, when I was doing my research I was favorably impressed by the Buffalo dealer as well. Had I lived closer, I probably would have dealt with them.

Not all DHL warehouses are created equal. I live about 40 miles from the one in Denver. My last Hitchcock's order took 3 days to get to Denver, and another 6 days to get me.

If I don't authorize a no signature delivery (which absolves them of loss), they won't delivery it. They did claim they attempted the delivery, but no one was home. (Twice. I was home both times).

Two days later they claimed they couldn't make the delivery due to (an inch of) snow. After several complaints to customer service, it was deliveried by a third party, who left it on the porch. While l watched at the window.

If I have to place another Hitchcock's order, I'll drive to airport and pick it up at their warehouse.
