How did the 350 do on HWY 88? If Mrs. 2LZ decides to start riding again, the Classic may be the choice. Obviously, you know our back roads (Ram's Horn, for instance) but I'm more concerned about the open highway like 88. People get MOVING on that road, especially skiers.
88 is about the fastest Hwy I'd take the 350 on. I cruised at 60 for the most part and some hills I struggled on, but it was easy enough. I passed a couple cars but mostly just did my own thing. People do drive fast though. I went down 50 from Tahoe and its fine until you hit Pollock Pines but then I jumped off and went back roads which is infinitely more fun. 55 posted speed roads are perfect for the classic.
