I've had an order with and been wating on clutch lever for SG through my dealership for at least a month and have just started looking at aftermarket options. Ordered a set from Hitchcocks (part # 92574R), which is listed as fitting the SG650. Either I am completely inept with the fitting of these or they simply don't fit. I wonder if anyone here has swapped levers on their SG650.
.
92574R fit my SG perfectly.

Did you have little to no wiggle room getting them in the housing? I basically had to force the brake lever in. Then I could not get the lever and housing holes to line up for screw. I will give another shot today after work, hopefully I'm just a total noob and these do fit my SG650. Thanks!

Judicious use of Dremel tool.

On the new lever. Put in place as best you can and take it from there. Do you have a m/c tech or friend that can check your work?
.
No MC tech to reach out to. May just return and play the waiting game for either an OEM replacement or something that has been verified to be a better fit. It would be a different story if there was a video or tutorial on how/where to make alterations.

You are welcome to as much of this piece as you believe may help. I'll mail it. If it does not work out, mail it back and we will call it quits. Your call. I have a 22 Interceptor.

I asked about clutch levers at my dealership yesterday, though in truth I can't remember if I said Shotgun or Super Meteor. The parts lady checked and apparently 50 came in with the initial shipment of bikes. But they are all gone with a lead time of 60 to 90 days for resupply. Which means either 50 of us have broken their clutch levers, or someone is seriously cornering the clutch lever market in North America. You know who you are!!

She did say the part number for the whole assembly, versus lever only, may be different and they were checking, but I left before there was an answer. Maybe something to look at.

Greetings! Has any Shotgun 650 owners had the need for/been able to procure OEM parts for your bike? I have not been able to get a replacement clutch lever. I am a new rider. I understand the model is new, but it doesn't make sense that certain parts aren't available.
Have you still got the end? Repair it - get it welded, bit of filing and polishing job done 👍

I wonder how common it is for the threads of the clutch mount assembly to be stripped like mine was. It could explain the shortage of replacement parts. I replaced the OEM M6 x 25mm bolt with an M6 x 30mm stainless steel bolt and was able to catch enough of the remaining threads to secure the mount. I noticed that the threads of the replacement bolt were more aggressive than the stock bolt. The issue could be due to using a sub-standard fastener.

I am glad I came across this post man! Managed to strip mine messing around making sure things were tight after fitting adjustable break/clutch levers. Considering it's currently impossible to procure OEM replacements I will be heading to the local hardware store after work tomorrow, thanks!

UPDATE: So Hitchcocks sent me a brake lever they tested on an SG650 and it goes right in the housing and lines up without issue (meaning the original one had some minor defect). After putting the clutch lever on, and before really testing, I managed to strip clutch housing bolt ensuring things were tightened (very easily stripped) so I will test after replacing that. Without taking my SG for a spin, I can say that the levers feel way better than the stock ones.

Take the mirror off. Grind down a 6mm nut and insert in the mirror hole. Use the longer bolt. There will not be much left of the nut, but the bolt will grab it, and you won't have a problem again. If you just use a longer bolt, the housing will strip out again.
