Super Meteor First Thoughts

Getting there...
So I picked up my Super Meteor Celestial Blue Touring model yesterday. It was quite warm for February so I put about 40 miles on it. First thoughts (in no particular order).

1) Suspension. The only thing I have to compare it to is my 2001 Honda Rebel so take this for what's worth but I did not find the rear suspension hard or harsh. Except for roads that were chopped up like a broken wash board, I actually found it quite comfortable.

2) Sitting position for me is near ideal (I'm just shy of 5' 11"). I like the slightly forward pegs. It took me about 10 minutes to get use to them. So far, I find the saddle very comfortable.

3) Stalled it a couple of times. I'll have to get use to giving it a little more gas when starting from a stop.

4) My phone is ancient and the Tripper app will not load onto it. I might take care of that eventually but in the meantime I cannot find out how to adjust the clock on the Tripper screen without the phone. It's off about 10 hours and in military time. Is it possible to change the time without the app?

5) Once or twice I could not shift into first when stopped. According to the owner's manual you need to rock the bike a little to get it to shift. No problems since.

6) Handles very well. Wider turning circle than the Honda but it's a bigger bike so that's to be expected I guess.

7) The fuel gauge indicated the the tank was low after about 25 miles of riding (tank was not full when I picked up the bike). I filled it up and it took three gallons. So, I guess that's where the low fuel indicator turns on, with about 1 gallon left.

I guess that's all for now. Snow coming in a couple of days so it may be a little while before I'm back on it.
