Swag Shop now Open!

Still waiting on mine...

So at this point I know mine is late, so I do a search of my email. Deep in my spam folder I find a reply from them about some snafu or another that cancelled my order. Guess I have to reorder and then wait another week or two.

EDIT: Just reordered. Watching the email closely this time.

I am not inclined to ask for donations with nothing in return.
Aside from the matter of keeping this forum running being classified as 'nothing', that'd be a discussion for another day. Best done in person, with cracked brews and a beautiful view.

Back to the point at hand... Ever thought about offering a $20 sticker?

Put 2025 on the first batch so that we sad bastards have to buy the 2026 too when it comes out. When the 2026 stickers do come out, the 2025s go up to $30 each so that procrastinators get screwed instead of rewarded.

None of this is for 'nothing' in return and it would be entirely of our own will to participate, so in every ethical way it's like offering the shirts and hats. Just with a markup for being 'collectable' or whatever.

I'll try to stuff my marketing/fundraising brain back into its cave now, but give it some thought. An offering from you, an offering from us. Charge what the market allows.

Its a great idea and I will chew on that. Thanks.

I got my Swag today! And I am pleased!

The shirts are Gildan, which I consider to be a top name in 100% cotton t-shirt. They're the brand I get when I make my one-off shirts, picked for the comfort and quality because I'm the poor slob who has to wear them.
Do note that the fabric of these shirts is FULL of process sizing, so wash them before wearing if you have soft or sensitive skin. I recommend as cold as you got for water temp, as light as you got for a washer cycle, and I find that a bit of white vinegar in place of fabric softener for that first wash helps the colors last longer.

Today I found out that I now own a 'Dad Hat' and also that some fat kid who can't take a selfie stole my shirt.

EDIT: And yes, Gildan XL shirts are a bit thinner (at least not short though, see above), but then the 2XL shirts are quite a bit wider both in shoulders and body. More like a change from 'normal' sizes to 'large' sizes than a smooth transition up the range. Knowing now that they are Gildan shirts, I would use the Gildan sizing chart rather than the Printify sizing chart for a more informed fit.

Update after two wearings and a look about. The printing is pretty good. Not sure if it has been heat cured from how the large areas (Slow Ride) are handling the wash, so those looking for longevity might want to iron the ink (with a heatsheet to not potentially melt anything) when it gets to you just to set the image. Nothing major, the same as most online shirt places so don't take that as a negative. The ink is on nice and thick so this shirt is better than most by an easy margin and the thickness of the ink may be what is giving me this impression that it needs more curing.

Also, the shirts are Gildan Heavy Cotton, even thicker and more durable than the standard Gildan and still 100% cotton. So another point in favor.

Overall it's hard to complain. I'll check back in after a few months of heavy wear, but I may need to order more stuff so I can assess the product from a larger sample size. ;)

Yes, shouldn't be a problem. The service I'm using, Printify, utilizes local print shops all over the world, to cut down on shipping costs.

Super happy to hear the quality is good. Thanks for the update.

Received my swag today. I dig it! I was a bit worried because the largest size for this was 2XL and I'm 6'3" 225, but it fits pretty well. It's hard to find anything with long enough sleeves that won't show my wrists anyway with both arms out lol

This "packable anorak jacket" is made by Champion. I've had many of their clothing products over the years, never had an issue with their quality. This jacket is basically a hooded windbreaker that folds up into itself via a zippered pouch. I love it! (y)

Awesome! Thanks for the order!

The T-shirt cost $10 for shipping, but the total is just over £25. As others have said, `stickers` if a local firm that can print some, they could be worth a look.
Small stickers with the web address on are good to hand out to people who are not members; they will remember the address.;)
