Anyone have tank bags for their Hima? I normally carry crap around in my truck, but my pockets get full on the bike and am looking for solution.

Anybody have recommendations for tank bags?

I recently bought a pair of the Valterra side tank bags. They fit really well and seem very well built. I like the little zip side pockets that I can store small objects in. The main compartments are waterproof with a roll top closure.

I cheaped out and got one of these:
Amazon cheap tank bag
It's on the small side but it fits my needs pretty well and it's got 2 clear compartments on top. I'll be cutting the magnets out of my 15 year old tank bag to put into this one, the tiny magnets it came with are inadequate but the magnet pockets have velcro closure so it's easy to upgrade.

The Hima is not too fussy about sizing and all the old bags I have fit OK, magnetic or strap on.
Although magnetic seem to be out of favor these days, with fixing rings talking their place.
If you can find a ring for the Hima---!
Best bag I have bought is a magnetic Ogio, a long time ago and they are NLA.
Even the cheapest bags have been acceptable quality, never found much use for fancy features apart from expandable and a map pocket, if you still use maps.
So, hard to go too wrong, any brand name you recognize will be OK quality, but better if you can get to a store and have a look and pick one that suits you'
This one looks close to my old Ogio.

I bought the ViaTerra trail packs for the Himalayan and since I had been looking for a tank bag also bought their Fly magnetic model which has a handle, is expandable, and can be worn like a backpack which I rarely have needed. It fits a laptop nicely for my work travel and was relatively inexpensive compared to other offerings. They also have a sleeker smaller model which was sold out when I was looking/buying. Shipping was more expensive than average but the prices and quality made up for that in my opinion.

The magnets on a magnetic tank bag seem to pick up random bits of metal debris all the time ime. I stuck some clear plastic film on the tank in the areas the magnets attach, (not that my bike is any sort of garage queen) purely to prevent scratches turning into rust.
Also used some of that sticky mesh type stuff Velcro’d to the underside of the bag, which helps stop it moving around too much. No straps, and it takes about 2 seconds to remove for re fueling.

Givi is usually top gear, but I have never tried their soft luggage.
But the Tank Lock seems to concentrate all the fixing load at one point at the perimeter of the fixing ring.
Fine if you are only carrying a phone and sunglasses but If you have your puncture repair kit , air pump , fuel and water, etc, in the bag it might be prone to failure faster then other types of fixing.
